having tracked down and fixed every other leak in the engine bay im still loosing around about a litre of oil every 4 months or so, after a bit of cleaning ive found that it comes from the right hand side of the engine. first thought were it was the crank oil seal behind the pulley but it comes from higher than that on the front of the engine, ive read somewhere that the tensioner can leak oil from somewhere? can anyone point me in the correct direction to solving this problem is there a oil seal i need to replace and are there any diagrams of that area, the v belt tensioner on this m102 engine looks a bit confusing :S

thanks

Lee

I think you may be getting the cam chain tensioner mixed up with the V belt tensioner. They can leak from the cam chain tensioner housing. I have never had one leak myself but have certainly read about it before.

All you need is the copper washer sealing from tensioner 27mm nut to block.
