MYSTERY. My 1985 190 auto drives fine but now and again the engine will suddenly stop while I am driving along. I slip the gearbox into neuteral while I am rolling along and the engine immediately fires up again and Icarry on as normal until it happens again sometimes days later. Any ideas where to look? |

i got mine from a firm called alter start , they do recon and new ancilleries so somewhere similar make sure you get the right one , its only 2 screws and a plug and the bush assembly comes right out no need to remove alternator. when fitting new bush ,tilt slightly to get 1st brush to sit on shaft then gentle wiggle in , simples |

Thanks. I have changed the alternator/brush holder. The car seems to go much better. Hopefully cured the problem. |
