My 2.3 16v is having problems running. it starts up quite well but until its warm it doesn't want to do anything apart from idle (which it does quite nicely) If I floor it when its still cold it will stall, but if I floor it and push down on the fuel injection flap it picks up nicely and revs very freely. A bit of fault finding led me to investigate the EHA on the fuel distributor. the resistance is fine (about 19.6 ohms) and the wires have a good connection to the ECU on pins 10 and 12. however there is no voltage going to the EHA at all. I know you should measure the current but someone may have been a bit silly and left the probes in current mode when they went to test for voltage.. obviously it wouldn't have been me being that stupid.. anyway, for a current to flow there must be a voltage, which there isn't, so do I assume that I need a new ECU? and could someone be so kind to tell me which colour wire goes to what pin on the EHA and air filter temp sensor? the previous owner has cut the connectors off and put bullet style crimps on the end, I assume they are right but would like to check. |
