...but it's bigger brother - only with less doors. Though I registered anyway, as the 190 community seems to be keener to apply modifications to enhance performance and handling. The 124 community is less - "open" to that. If I may put it this way... And since both chassis share a good deal of components - well hello!

Car's nothing special, a '88 300CE I converted to Turbodiesel. And I'm looking into some brake upgrades, just because I detest sliding calipers. Not that the car needs bigger/better brakes.

Cheers,

Hi and welcome,

I have a C124 also, they are lovely cars. Post some pictures up as Im sure I wont be the only one interested in seeing them! ;)

With regards to 124 forums, I found them to be a bit stuffy also, the one time I went on lookng for answers to an issue i was having, I decided never to go back as a result of the smart replies recieved.

None of the nonsense here!

Thanks! :) The interior was 50% of the reason tu buy it :D The paint's colour the other 50%

Then I drove it for about a year and then decided I wanted a Turbodiesel in my life - without selling this car. And that was that. It's car n°2 on the "will stay forever" list. And I had a fair share of cars in the last 10 years...

RR, yes. There's the whole story of the car so far... Hope it's OK if I put up a link? http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/135435

Could listen to this engine idling the whole day. And night. :) And it's the perfect engine to just cruise around...

Read your retro rides thread for the first time ever today, very impressed! You have to buy a 190 and drop a 3.0 diesel in..... so I can then copy!

Keep up the good work!

Also, just a quick note, my dad actually owns a 300CD W123 imported from California where they only ever supplied 8007 of that particular model. Very cool car to have and coincidentally its the same gold colour as yours!
