Hello everyone, hope all is well. I acquired a '90 190e 2.6 earlier this year and am starting down a long road together. I used to work at a Benz indie shop and it was one of our loaners. I replaced an engine in another loaner and my boss gave me the 190e as payment. My initial plans are to get it back to square one with a 90k service, steering and suspension rebuild. Hopefully later this summer I can get an early m104 with CIS swapped in so I have a hotrod Benz. Long term plans, I think, are to do an m119 swap. The write up by Ben who owns the blue 5.0-32v is the real reason I joined. So with that said, I'm excited to be here and can't wait to see what the site has to offer. I have(had, actually) 13 years of experience working on Mercedes Benzes but this spring I got a new job in a new field. The w201 isn't exactly my specialty but I'll definitely add any insight when I can. Oh, excuse the username please. I was discussing an r129 matter on another board just before I joined here and accidentally typed some wrong numbers, like an idiot... I wanted it to be 201.036. If it's possible to change my username that would be awesome |
