Hey guys, thanks for the warm welcome. Sadly shes only a 2lt, but to be fair I got her to calm & slow me down behind the wheel... so suits me. Not really sure whats it story is.... given the interior & exterior but I like it ha. Few jobs on the list already, any one know decent engine mounts to buy, mine are proper dead. Also getting a slight clunk from the rear/diff when I change gear sometimes (poss play in the shafts???) |

First place to look for the clunk is the front proshaft coupling (or donut). You can do it by rolling under the car and twisting the prop with your hand any significant play is reasonably easy to trace (and hear). There is another coupling further back, and a support. The front one is the most common because it is near the hot exhaust. Search for donut, it should throw a few threads up. My last mounts were lemforder, I got them from rob parker (three pointed parts on ebay) |

Get the couplings from gsf/eurocarparts for £35+ VAT. Easy to replace, can do the front by just dropping the rear gearbox mount and shifting propshaft back a bit. |

Welcome Yep was on eBay a few times started at a couple of grand then slowly trickled down over the months. I too liked it just the 2.0l and chrome wheels put me off. Once you get it sorted you should have a very nice car |

Cheers guys for the input & help. I have a new doughnut ready to go in, so getting that done next week. As I said Im gonna replace the engine & gearbox mounts as the whole setup shakes like a fat ladies bits.... whats the best ones to go for, without breaking the bank? The brakes are shocking performance wise & the pedal feels like standing on a sponge... checked the pads, all good, discs have a bit of a lip but nothing mega, checked the brake/clutch fluid & yeahhhh that's all discolored, skanky & separated so gonna flush the whole system in hope to restore some feel to the brakes! Happy with the 2lt as it isn't too thirsty plus I just wanna cruise, got this car to slow me down anyways

Saw this car at ally pally on Sunday night in the main car park. 2 geezers clamouring out of it late night as I was leaving, a big fight broke out between a few rival Turkish factions, both victim and perpetrator both got bottled and sustained some nasty injuries at around 1 am in the morning. |
