I'm in no rush, to buy. But, before I do, I'd like to know a bit more about my options, gearbox-wise. The, 190's, of them, which would have manual box'es ? Is there a box spec list, anywhere, hereabouts, or could ya make one up, fer me ? Tanks, a million. Owe, ya one. eatpopcorn

Oh, just thought, most have auto boxes, right ? But most, apart from the Yanks, and the odd foreigner, here and there, prefer, stick-shift. So, why auto boxes, instead of manual's, what's up with them, in your opinion ?

The Mercedes auto box on the 190 is one of the best from the period. The manual boxes are a bit "clunky" and were only ordered by die hard manual enthusiasts. I for one would only ever have an auto box on a 190 except of course the cossies which require a manual gertag dogleg box to get the best out of them!!
