Oh no what's happening, everything has been great, until last night. I switched the car into sport mode and instead of E and all was great but 2 hours later jumped back in to car, when I went to put it into drive it started making a god awful sound like grinding the gears I moved it back through the box it actually cut out then started back up again when I got into P, I switched it of started back up again put into Economy and it was fine. However this morning it started fine again but when I got to work I parked up went to park again and the same grinding noise through N ok in R then cut out and started up again in P but this time I couldn't turn the ignition off, I had to go through the gears again and back up and eventually it let me turn it off. Everything is ok when in D or R and drives nice and smooth. Just as I'm getting some money together to do some other bits on car this happens.

Sounds like it may be the clutch packs are worn out. Not much you can do about that except get them changed.
