I owned a 1978 mercedes 280ce that had a vacuum powered cable cruise control. It was really complicated with loads of bits and pieces, but I got it to work after a fashion. |

I'm Breaking a car with it, and intend to take photos as I remove it. From what I can tell it is not vacuum powered but there is a cable from the steering wheel and throttle through the dashboard into the engine bay to an actuator on the block itself. I think it should be doable once all parts are available and you are somewhat confident and capable.... Edited by Silver star, Sat Feb 7, 2015 10:37 am.
