hi guys, carried out matrix flush at weeked as per Julians post on here. and replaced a hose from engine to matrix. since doing this i have notice that the car has been consistantly leaking water. initially from the after market radiator that i recently fitted. from drain plug at bottom left corner. this looked as though it had no "O" rings on when 1st removed on saturday. i have since fitted these so hope this is best????? however in addition to this leak i have come out to the car this morning to a big puddle that seems to have come from near the matrix. also the reservoir tank hissed when i released the lid? can anyone give me advice as to what this might mean???????? help |

Don't worry about the hiss, Where do you think it's leaking from? The rad or the heater matrix? If its the heater matrix it is possible to bypass it |

It's not clear. Is the puddle in the footwell inside the car or under the engine? |

puddle is under the car, at around the position of the matrix, when doing the matrix flush, used a bike pump to blow water out of matrix after flush. could this of caused issues. if the matrix was leaking would the be water in footwell????? as mine is dry hope this helps with diagnosis |

Might be the inlet into the cylinder head from the matrix. Yes if the heater matrix was leaking the floor mats would be soaked. Lift them just to check anyway. |

by inlet do you mean hose??? just being a bit blonde? when did this flush i changed the hose from engine to matrix as damaged by block. the 1st time i drove the car after the flush the car emptied it self due to issues where we had not tightened the jubilee clip to the hose and the pipe on matrix? but have since adjusted this and all hose are now attaced properly. as far as i know had carpets up so are bone dry the 1st |

Is there a fitting on the head for the hose? There might be a leak between that fitting and the head. Not sure about the 2.0 but you need to look in the engine bay either at that join or possibly around the heater control valve the other side. |
