Does anyone know if the manual gearboxes between the 2.0, 2.6 and cosworth versions are all interchangeable? If not what are the differences? Also does anyone know what the max bhp the 2.6 and cosworth versions can handle? I know the 2.0 gearbox is apparently good for 190bhp or so but want to know what power the others can handle. Thanks |

So does no one know if the gearboxes from one engine can be swapped to another without any hassle? (apart from removing and refitting obviously). I've tried searching online but cannot find any info. |

Thery're mostly the same box and it's the diff final drive ratio that changes. Not sure about the 16V models though. What do you want to do exactly? |

don,t know about diesels but m102 m103 from 190e,s and m104 engines out of w124,s and r129,s all have the same bellhousing so no problems there the 16v gearboxes can handle 500 hp worn or 700 when new |
