Hi, My 190d auto has developed a rumble when you select reverse and keep your foot on the brake , I'm hoping its perhaps the exhaust rattling against the underside of the body but I don't think so , it doesn't make the noise in any other gear ???? Any ideas what I should check first Cheers Donald |

Just checked and I'm sure it's the engine mounts as when I pull engine to one side on tick over the noise stops , next question is how easy is it to change the mounts, I think I can see them with some sort of round silver metal cover with a stud in the middle , I imagine it needs to be up on ramps for access below ? And have the engine supported with a jack and piece of wood to protect sump ? |
