1993 2.0 95k The car drives and changes perfectly after tinkering with the modulator valve. However the problem of the harsh selection into drive and reverse still exists. I have scanned all 24 posts on this site and found the following: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/722-3-722-4-Diesel-Only-Kit-Superior-K722A-D-Shift-Correction-Fits-Mercedes-Benz-/260116350141?hash=item3c902484bd which appears to be for diesels only, and this http://www.superior-transmission.com/Product_Page.cfm?ID=19 which doesn't appear to include my symptoms. Am I heading in the right direction???? the dealership are struggling with part numbers to supply kits, if that is what will resolve the issue. any assistance would be appreciated |

Can you describe the symptoms a bit more? Are you sure it's a gearbox issue or could it be engine/gearbox mounts or donuts maybe? |

mounts are good and donuts changed 1 year ago it is the gear box, there is a definite clunk when Drive or Reverse is selected, I'm going to have the hydraulic and vacuum pressures checked first Thoughts? |

From under the car with it in gear (and not running ) when you twist the prop by hand is there much play and where is it coming from ?Is the idle speed roughly correct ? When I had a vacuum line missing mine tended to rev when I went from P to D so it jumped a bit. I cant remember where the line was but it wasnt the one to the harshness unit. |
