I use comma xtreme g48. It's Merc spec and I've never had any problems with it. |

Does anyone know the type for a 2.0 190d? And the capacity? Can't find any on eBay. Will generic triple qx stuff from ECP do or is it specific? Cheers

Same as above for 2.0d. I use Comma G48 in mine. Don't know the capacity off the top of my head, but if you check the handbook it'll be listed in there. |

Thank you for the reply SpencerJames :)) Very helpful. I've just bought a 190d 2.0 I've bought service bits but not coolant, there are no problems but I'm wondering if it should be changed or if it's a case of 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' and leave the old coolant in... I'd change it if I were you, unless you have service history confirming it's been done in the last couple of years |

Not changing the coolant is the fast route to a head gasket job. Be sure to use the drain plug underneath the exhaust manifold as well as the radiator tap/bottom hose method. |
