Head gasket shot?; Coolant in oil sump - left the water in for too long?

My own worst enemy - whilst flushing the cooling system, I most likely left the soapy water in there for too long coz of work commitments, etc. Now there are signs of coolant contamination of the engine oil - raised level beyond max. mark, discoloration, etc.

I'm assuming the head gasket is a gonner, and well beyond my technical ability to attempt the repair myself. Does anybody know of a clued-up 190E mechanic in SE London who could take it on?

Hi - I too am facing the very same issue. Car drive lovely, no lack of power, no smoke, oil and dipstick shows no indication oil coolant however there is oil or black stuff in my coolant. I got 190D 2.5. I wonder if you ever got to know the issue with your car.
Your reply will be highly appreciated.
