I'm overhauling my carb and the associated pipework and am adamant that this has been bodged in the past by a rougue former owner- I'm appealing to members with uk carb models (mine is an 87 2.0 auto) to post me some pictures of the vacuum lines to and from the carb and surrounding manifold so I can build a reference.

Would really appreciate any owners help- thanks in advance.

Hi gary
I have an 89 carb. I recently had a fuel smell from suspected split fuel hoses leading to carb etc. Dealership very helpful in providing pdf diagrams of fuel pipes, however, none seemed to match my setup. Ended up having to buy three seperate sets of hoses at approx £160. I suspect someone bodged mine in past although car always runs perfect. I suppose merc could have lost or removed pdf diagram for my model.
Anyway, i suggest you visit your dealer, hopefully they will be as helpful as the newcastle dealer. I think i have the pdf's they sent me somewhere, but may take me a few days to dig them out. Pm me your email address - if i cant upload onto the forum I'll send them direct
