hey people
Here is my latest video. And here i show you how to take appart and re lubricate the monowiper mechanism.
Did not do the lubricating process itself here..but you get the idea. And my main thing was to show how you take it appart and show you some of the things to be aware of when doing so.
I hope you like it.
Greetings :)

lowman, you are welcome. I just wish I had a video of how to get the wiper mechanism out of the car. I have tried twice to get it out of my LHD 190E without success. My fear is that when trying to get the mechanism forward off the studs that the windshield will crack. I even tried to disconnect the mechanism from the motor but didn't want to break anything so gave up on that also. My wiper works fine so the thought "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" came to mind. Maybe if it starts acting up I will give it another go.

did you loosen the front "partition panel"...mounted with six screws...3 on each side...bend that panel towarda the rear end of the engine...and you can slide out the complete mechanism.the mechanism is fastened with 4 bolts/nuts...3 on the underside of the bottom part of the windscreen..and one towards the fusebox.it can be a bit fiddly to get it out..but take your time..and ease it out..and it will come out ok

Lowman, OK the one thing that I didn't do was move the partition panel . I will try that and see if it will give me the room to move the wiper off the two studs. Thanks again!!

Nice job lowman,
Thanks for posting. It's a job that I may have to do soon, so I watched both of your videos today :)

ONe thing that you might be interested in: In your (part 1) original wiper video, you show that the internally-toothed ring gear is dry and imply that you're not sure if it should be dry or lubricated. In the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3IPjKgC5AQ at about 3:08 in, kent shows old grease that has gone rather sticky.
So I suspect that the ring gear should be greased too.

I don't have a puller so I'm not sure how I'll get the geared shaft out, but maybe a local motor factors will stock such a puller that won't cost a lot.

Best Regards,
ConorD
