Hello Please can someone identify this part? I did 90% of the disassembly when my car went to the body shop, when I got the car back I got a bag of bolts and bits n bobs to reassemble.... but for the life of me I can't work what this small rubber part is for or where it belongs! ![]() There's a roof rail clip in the background for scale, its about 1 inch in length. Cheers! Karen |

Your picture isn't showing up, Karen. Probably because of the recent photobucket mess-up. I think swat has made it easy to use an alternative picture hosting site. |

You're welcome. There's a link just under the posting editor text area; it says: 'Add image to post'. Clicking on that pops up a small window that lets you use the postimage hosting site. Cheers. |

just a stab but it looks like a rubber guide/ clip for multiple pipes or wires..... in the engine compartment there are some guides that look a little like that to guide and separate the fuel lines and one of the brake lines? |

Thanks Guys The part is a very soft rubber, my short list of places it could go are: part of the rear boot lid part of the bonnet something to do with the petrol flap* part of the door locks *I had one mystery rubber bit, but finally worked out that was part of the petrol flap bump stop. Everything else was stripped before it went.... However identifies this part correctly gets a pack of biscuits! |

If all else fails, I would suggest trying the MB classic center. Send them the picture and your VIN # and maybe they can help? |
