2.3 engine block and head on a 2.5; engine swop

Dear All,

I am new to this forum!
I bought a 190e 2.5 16v, 1990 which had an engine swop. It looks like the previous owner did not find a 2.5 engine and ended up by getting the 2.3 engine.
So now, I have the car, having a 2.3 block and head, but the injection and ignition system are from the 2.5

The worst is that the car is having serious issues: unstable idle, accelerate very badly, whenever you go on the throttle it s does not react promptly and feels like cutting off thru all the revs.

I changed: fuel distributor and regulator, K Jetronic ECU, 4 injectors, fuel filter, 4 spark plugs, timing chain and retainer.
But the issue remains! I tries to check if there is any air leakage, by spraying water on the air hoses, but couldn t identify any.

With all this salad that I have, could someone guide me or tell me how to proceed?

Thanks
