Hi,

You need to check out for what your doing.

2.3 16v [Euro] has basically 2 engines,

One which has 10.5 CR by
using a High CR piston and has upgraded
Rods with 24mm pins.
Very rare nowadays and having heavier internals
on the reciprocating mass for a N/A engine
makes no real sense.

If your going FI then its more robust but the
std 2.3 16v internals seem to be good upto
around 380/400 BHP when boosted.
[std this engine makes about 10 BHP more]

More Common std 2.3 16v with 9.7 CR pistons which
has 22mm pins on the Rods.

Most standard 2.3 16v 's are to this spec, with 80.2 Crank,
95.5mm pistons and 145mm Rods C-C nearly all running
the single chain.

Regards,

The Gorilla.
