What crank can be used in these? I have one crank that is on 0.40 overdim on one rod, rest is 0.30, and main is on 0.40... So may need a new (maybe use IT anyway in a low spec engine) |

Hi, You can use a 2.0 or 2.3 Crank as they are same Stroke. 80.25 [you can a little compression over a 16v @ 80.2] If used from an 8v engine then it will be best to have 8V Crank toughened. This will mean you ideally require a 8v Crank with std Journal sizes, you have it toughened, and then machined back true which will mean that you will be to first repair size for bearings of the B/E and Mains. Your 2.3 16v Crank would go to 'third' repair on the B/E and 2nd repair on the Mains. These bearings are available. So long as your not racing and not going above 8000 rpm then it will be fine. Regards, The Gorilla. |
