My hydraulic tappets on no. 4 cylinder decided to go all tappety on me. So having just taken the air filter box and cam cover off, removed the oil rail and the rocker arm, pushed out the tappets, soaked them in clean oil and refitted everything...all is now back to normal Anybody with noisy tappets that is putting off the job really should just do it as it really isn't that bad. I reckon two hours from start to finish. Will obviously be longer if you have more than two noisy tappets and all you need is a basic socket set and a small torque wrench. |
