Has anyone experienced this? Generally on start up the car is fine and ticks over nicely however around 5 minutes into the drive the car drops revs and limps for around 30 seconds and then comes back to life. It's been suggested that it could be one of a few problems including the OVP, fuel injection metering (although absolutely fine on any journey short or long after the stutter), ICV, FPR, alternator regulator, idle micro switch, stiff throttle linkage et etc. The car had a new head gasket last year and I've not had to top up oil or water once since then. It's liveable with currently but common opinion leads me to the OVP which is a circa £80 fix. If someone could explain why it could be the OVP then I might take the plunge! Thanks for reading :-) |

Ive had something similar to that, Started fine(ish) then ran for a while then would stop or run with misfire/low revs -rotor arm and distributor cap fixed it. |
