LED Instrument lights; Are the small twist socket bulbs removable?

I bought some LED bulbs to replace the ones in the Instrument cluster since removing the cluster is a bit of work to remove but was done to repair the odometer and clock. I ordered several #74 size bulbs to replace the ones in the smaller twist socket light such as the turn indicators. Where I am having problem with these is that the old incandescent bulbs do not seem to be removable. Is this correct or should they be able to be removed from the socket. I recall years ago having the same issue with a Volvo 240 and the bulbs were not removable. If this is the case I suppose I will have to look for some LED bulbs that come installed in twist sockets if such bulbs exist. The 194 size that fit the dash lights seem to work fine as do the 74's in the push in sockets on the right side of the cluster although they are a tight fit which may just be the brand of bulb which I purchased.

yup I think that most are NOT removeable from the socket/plug thingy. I broke two before starting to have a think about it. I suppose you have remembered this but if you use LED's do check that the polarity is correct before you put the dash back....

Thanks, my recall was correct then. Most of the bulbs only light at startup or if a problem occurs. I would like LED for turn signal indicator but other than the dash lights which are on continuously because my car has DRLs.
