A2013212004 or A2013212104 or A2013212204 or A2013212304 4 part numbers reflecting a range of specs dependent on fitted extras (or your desired ride height). I think I have placed them in ascending order of spring length. Take your pick I guess. |

Only way to know the correct springs/pads combination is to refer to the microfiche on EPC under springs. There's a little table with a points system which determine what spring and pad combination you need factoring things like air con, sunroof, SLS ect. Finding this table for a w201 or w124 is a bit tricky it doesn't appear to have been imported to EPC but it will probably be somewhere in the WIS. Edit: I found the microfiche/footnote page. The table might look a bit daunting at first but it's very simple. Using the table you can select the correct spring and pad combination totaling up what you have. Here's the snag though if you want to be completely OTT. You can't technically order the spring pad (assuming you don't just use the old ones) until the springs you've ordered arrive to see if they have the red stripe or the blue for selecting spring pad numbers. Red stripe indicates a long spring and blue indicates short spring with a varying spring rate between them. I'd recommend you figure out what you need yourself rather than relying on your local MB parts department because putting it frankly they are bloody useless ! ![]() Edited by MercManCraig, Wed Dec 13, 2017 2:18 am.

If i find monroe springs that correspond with the part number i need- are monroe good for springs and will they be the correct height etc as per original springs? My merc main dealer parts man is excellent and really helpful btw. Thank you very much D. |

My mb parts advisor gave the correct part number and also to be sure i worked it out also with those very helpful tables. I got a pair of monroe springs which fit the part number. A bit high initially but calmed down a little so look correct now. A few months back i had put a pair of 195 65 15 (instead of 185) on the front and there was rubbing. This was probably due to the old sagging front shocks. Learning all the time Thank you D. |
