Hi Guys, After owning my 190e 2.0 for about 2 years its time to put the Cosworth Kit which i've had lying around since purchased from our friend RobertE on the forums. Now here is what the car looks like, ![]() Then someone ploughed into the side of me recently which prompted the fitting of the kit. ![]() Now as you can see from the first pic the front and rear bumper match the colour of the car and the side skirts are the darker colour. I've sourced two new doors and its going in to be sprayed/fitted next week, i'm still undecided whether to colour code all the plastic on the bumpers or keep them stock or even have the entire bottom half a different colour, and if i should keep the spoiler, thoughts and ideas are welcome. Also i assumed i could purchase a 'clip pack' which would contain all the fittings i would need, now most of the clips are intact but i don't know if some are missing etc.. After viewing the below thread it seems i need to purchase them individually (is that correct?), ive already dropped the kit to the body shop, so im thinking maybe to order some of the more common clips and give them to the shop when i drop the car, or give the diagrams of the kit to the shop and get them to let me know hats needed, looking for the side skirt diagram if any one has it? http://mercedes-190.co.uk/topic/219202/1/#new Whilst at the shop i will get the little bits of rust looked at, inside of door and boot lid etc.. Is there anything else worth doing? I was going to spray the grill / all the other plastics a matt black but have been advised theirs no point due to chipping. Any help/advice is appreciated. Thanks! |

I suppose that you could check the jacking points and drain holes in the sills checked for rust too. You're working on that area, and it's be good to know that they're all fine before putting on the new bodykit. Take photos / video of everything that you can, before during and after ![]() Best Regards, ConorD Edited by ConorD, Thu Jan 4, 2018 2:02 pm.
