Does anyone have the correct part number for a pre facelift ‘88 190 2.6 front bumper? Unhelpfuly MBUK provided me with 2018801170 and 2018801570 (which I am pretty sure is post facelift). Edited by Blighty, Wed Jan 24, 2018 1:19 am.

Hi Blighty I have a front bumper, P/N 201 880 1670, which I understand is for post-facelift (based purely on a quick google search in must be said). So your number 201 880 1570 could easily be for pre-facelift. Not sure. Guessing ...1170 is an earlier version now superseded? I'm not sure what the differences between 1570 and 1670 are, or whether one can be used as an alternative for the other (at a pinch or otherwise), but I'm sure people on here will have the answer. Good luck! John |

Hi ,i`ve seen two types of front bumpers for the 2.6 the preface which has the same bumper strip as other preface but the trim is almost the same as the postface ones and the postface wich is the same as the other models ,you can fit both no matter if is pre or post face in a preface but in a postface you need a postface front bumper, the anchor points are the same in this pics you can apreciate that is a preface 2,6 model with a bumper that looks like post face but is not ,is a preface bumber strip with an added strip underneath on a trim that looks like post face probably the first design of the postface front bumber... https://www.flickr.com/photos/126433814@N04/24058960472/in/photostream/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/126433814@N04/24058978682/in/photostream/ Edited by dartony, Fri Jan 26, 2018 2:50 am.

I think (standing by to be corrected) that the part ending 670 is a one piece affair. The others have the separate black rubber bumper part. Probably. |

Right. Need help. Ordered a new bumper from a dealer in Germany only found out that it was for a 2.0 after I’d dropped it off at the body shop. Twunts had sent the wrong one and had to get e-bay involved to get a refund. Found a second hand one that according to the dealer is definitely from a 2.6. The part number on it is 2018851425 which I can’t tie down to definitely being from a 2.6. Anyone here know? Also noticed that I need a plastic inner arch which disappeared when I destroyed the bumper. Front near side if anyone has one. |
