I believe my big end bearings have gone or going. Once engine is warmed up there is bottom end knocking and oil pressure gauge jumps all over the place. Is my diognosis right or is it somthing else. Question is does the engine need to come out to be fixed. |

Any weird oil pressure? If not, it could also be a conrod journal; but I'd imagine that you'd do both anyway... A stethoscope night help... |

have you CONFIRMED oil pressure going up and down with a external oil pressure gauge? The one in the car is NOT trustworthy in this setting. |

There are two sensors; one at the pump and one near the filter. I had this problem and simply had them cleaned. No problem after that. Bottom end problems are q. rare... |
