Hey everyone, I've got a scratched windscreen and the winter salt sticking in the scratches is terrible news, night time driving in the rain can be awful, I'm keeping replacement at bay using a clay bar and rain-x. Rain-x is awesome by the way. I bought the car from Margate which has a sandy beach so I guess that's the problem. It's been written off twice in accidents where i've been run into the back of and subsequently the insurance company won't pay out for a replacement I live in Maidstone Kent and wonder if anyone knows a good independent guy? I've heard they can be supplied at £80 Autoglass quote £1025 Help! |

Your insurance company won’t pay out for a damaged screen? Almost begs the question “ Why am I insured? “ |

Got mine done on insurance a few weeks ago, It was with Autoglass they did a great job and the excess was around £80 I think. I had the same issue with very bad glare at night. Clay bar didn’t really help. |

Sounds strange regarding the insurance company. I'm seeing my brother later, the insurance god. I'll see what he says about it |

If the car has been cat C or d both times it shouldn't be an issue regarding replacement screens. Only problem could be is your insurance company might have only covered 3rd party only, which doesn't cover you for a replacement Hope this helps |
