Ultimate mechanical overhaul considered

Anyone got previous on giving the K-Tronic system a service?

No problems with car, starts no problem hot or cold. Short or long journeys, hot or cold weather.

Thing is...

1. It's " abit of a Rocket " It hates sticking to speed limits and upon inspection the throttle linkage is abit " slack Alice ", There is wear at the throttle body linkage.

2. Car sticks of emissions, always. Running rich?

3. Idle increase from 800rpm in Drive (R,3,2) to 1000rpm in Park or Neutral. Idle control micro switch/valve?

Thanks

It probably needs a tune up.

Symptoms of air leaks. Check ALL rubber breather pipes and the rubber ‘saddle’ under the air/fuel metering unit. It’s all about the ageing process......

I agree with comms above. A tune up may be enough; sounds like it’s running a little rich. A tune up shouldn’t cost much but may sort one or two of your listed issues
