Hi, my name is Charles and I want to share with all of you my first W201 purchase. Its a 1991 190e 2.6 sportsline that was imported from Japan in 1997. Being a 27 year old car and harsh UV rays in NZ, the clearcoat has started to peel on the bonnet and signs of oil leak (which I understand is a common symptom of the M103 engine). Overall, the ride is still quite firm and tight and starts first time.

The plan is to keep it original and work on the maintenance items.

Hello there. Welcome to the forum.

2.6, Sportline, From Japan..... Does it get any better than that? You have an absolute gem there.
Sportline is my favourite spec.

Very nice car. I'd definitely take failed clear coat over structural rust... You're lucky in your part of the world!

Welcome to the forum. That's an attractive car. I have a cousin in Auckland, so i know you get some wet weather as well, but not the amounts that we have!

Cool car, I have the same interior my black 2.6. That must have been an insanely expensive car in your part of the world when new with taxes and so on!
