Can't give you any pointers because an engineer who reconditioned a head for me once told me to avoid removing the sump at all costs - because it's tricky and those bolts have been there for many years. Sorry to be of no help! |

Use genuine parts if you really have to do this. How bad is the leak ? |

I am almost sure you will have to raise the motor, I was looking at my diesel the other day and also at the petrol 2.0 (this is the one I has trying to avoid pulling the motor on....) and I am almost sure you can't yank the sump on any of them without at least lifting the motor off the mounts, and best of all by yanking it our completely..... |

Wof note?? If it’s not leaving an oil slick all over the place then is it worth bothering? Do you have an engine under tray fitted? Edited by Daliscar, Sat May 5, 2018 11:37 pm.

Hi, It might be worth just cracking bolts maybe 1/2 turn before trying to tighten. You just may get them a little tighter. Dave |
