I think if you Check your VIN Number on one of those VIN Decoders, you will be able to tell for sure.

Put in the VIN to a few of these Decoder sites and all came back with Imperial Red, no mention of the lower half, what a pain, thanks anyway

Mike, Imperial Red is 584 - Signal is a different colour so be careful. I believe the bottom half will be a satin version of Almandine Red, Iím not sure of the code for that; call the dealer and quote your VIN.

the sacco panels will be the same colour as the rest of the car.
looks different because of the way the paint is prepared for applying to the plastic panel.
and it fades at a different rate to paint applied to steel panels.

It looks metalic though, with a pink tinge to it, a real contrasting colour

yes i do agrre it looks different, but so does the osf wing.
i know with older fords the true indication of whether the car was original was a colour difference between the panels(steel /plastic) with the plastic panel being darker. concours judges look for this.

Not sure if you have seen it, Mike, but there is a pinned topic on the paint codes on this forum.

Paint Codes

Can't help you with selecting the right one for the cladding though as it hasn't listed the equivalent paint code for imperial red (582 btw not 584).
